Patients often come to us expressing concerns about particular wrinkles that leave them looking aged, tired or even angry in some cases, a complete contrast to how they truly feel. Our pre-treatment consultations help identify these areas and allow us to plan together which treatments and doses would be appropriate to achieve the desired results.
Wrinkles can be divided into two categories: dynamic or resting. The former being easier to treat with anti-wrinkle treatment due to their appearance being subject to activation of particular muscles, therefore reduced activation of said muscles would, in turn, eradicate their respective dynamic lines.
Resting lines are harder to treat as they are creases within the surface of the skin that are present even when the muscles are at rest, they can be softened with anti-wrinkle treatment however complete eradication can be more difficult but is not impossible!
Softening of these lines results in a smooth appearance leaving you feeling more refreshed!

Anti-wrinkle treatment uses a naturally occurring protein named Botulinum Toxin A (commonly known by its trade name Botox). This protein is injected into specific muscles that attach onto the skin producing lines in motion or at rest (ie. wrinkles) to gently reduce their activation.
Early results can be seen after 4-5 days and can take up to 14 days post treatment to reach full maturity with results lasting up to 3-4 months.
Botulinum Toxin A is a prescribed medication in the UK therefore requires a medical professional to prescribe and examine patients prior to their treatment. As a qualified dental surgeon Dr Bhavik is a licensed prescriber and can legally prescribe and carry out anti-wrinkle treatments.
Yes, all of the treatments that we offer are carried out by Dr Bhavik Shah himself, he has experience in working under aseptic conditions, recognising and managing complications and medical emergency training as well!
